Dr. Niziol was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He has been working in family health care from his office in Dryden for thirty two years. Dr. Niziol attended the State University of New York at Potsdam where he was a Chemistry Major , and attended medical school at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He performed a family practice internship followed by a family practice residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York. He is United Stated Board Certified in Family Practice.
Family Practice is located in the town of Dryden, New York, just a few minutes away from Cortland and Ithaca. Dr. Niziol opened the practice in 1987 after falling in love with Dryden's small town feel. Many of his patients have been coming to him for 3 decades and now bring their children and grandchildren in as patients as well. Dr. Niziol is the only doctor in the community that is not financially obligated to refer patients to a local hospital. By remaining independent, Dr. Niziol is able to tailor his care and advice to suit his patients' individual needs. His loyalty is to his patients not a hospital system.
Dr. Niziol is the area's only Federal Civil Surgeon, and travel medicine clinic. - his clinic is the area's only Certified Yellow Fever Vaccine site. He stays busy with hobbies, which include kayaking, canoeing, skiing, hiking, snow kiting, biking and running with his dogs. Dr. Niziol takes pride in remaining abreast of the latest medical technologies and developments.
